Siri Paye Meadows

Siri Paye is a picturesque plateau located about 6 kilometers from Shogran. It’s accessible by jeep or by hiking, and it’s renowned for its serene alpine meadows, rolling hills, and panoramic views of the Makra Peak. The name “Siri Paye” comes from the local language, where “Siri” refers to a lake and “Paye” means high grazing ground.

Makra Peak

Makra Peak is known for its stunning views of the surrounding landscapes, including the lush green meadows, snow-capped mountains, and the panoramic vistas of the Kaghan Valley. The trek to the summit usually begins from Shogran, a well-known hill station in the area, and passes through Siri Paye, a beautiful meadow offering spectacular views of the Makra Peak. The name “Makra,” which means “spider” in Urdu, is derived from the shape of the peak, which resembles a spider’s web.

It stands at an elevation of approximately 3,885 meters (12,746 feet) above sea level.
